Masterworks I

The Foothills Philharmonic Orchestra begins its 2018-2019 season Saturday, September 22, 2018, at 7:30 p.m. with The Opening Night Gala: Masterworks I. 


All of Foothills’ concerts are free and general admission to the public.  Refreshments will be provided following the performance at our reception where people can meet and greet the performers.

The program includes Sibelius’ Symphony No. 7, the Finish composer’s final symphonic masterpiece. Also, tonight is the only night of our art sale benefiting local artists from the community.


Masterworks II

The Foothills Philharmonic Orchestra continues its 2018-19 season  Saturday, November 3, 2018, at 7:30 p.m. with Masterworks II: Greer Community Ministries Food Drive at  Riverside Baptist 1249 S. Suber Rd Greer, SC 29650, 


The featured work on the concert is Antonin Dvorak's nostalgic Symphony No. 8.


Annual Christmas Concert and Toys for Tots Drive

The program includes seasonal favorites that will be guaranteed to help our audience get into a festive mood for the holiday season.


Plan on bringing a toy to the concert to donate to our Toys for Tots Drive.

Masterworks III

Saturday, March 30, 2018, at 7:30 p.m. at  Riverside Baptist 1249 S. Suber Rd Greer, SC 29650.

 

The program includes Gustav Mahler’s ambitious and powerful Symphony No. 1, as well as the announcement of the winner for the 2018-19 Future Stars Competition.

Orchestral Double Header: Sensory Friendly Concert and Annual Pops Concert

The Foothills Philharmonic Orchestra concludes its 2018-19 season at  Riverside Baptist 1249 S. Suber Rd Greer, SC 29650, on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at 3:30pm and 7:30 p.m. with the Sensory Friendly Concert for special needs children at 3:30pm and the Annual Pops Concert and Instrument Petting Zoo (Instrument Zoo begins at 6:30 and the concert begins at 7:30pm). 


Both programs include popular music favorites from movies, classical music, and television shows. 


Events for the Sensory Friendly Concert will begin at 1pm, culminating in the concert at 3:30pm.  For this Sensory Friendly Concert, multiple organizations will be present to offer assistance for families of special needs children, along with special activities for the children to enjoy.


In addition, we will be holding an instrument petting zoo open for all children at both concerts. At this event, children of all ages will be able to try out the different instruments of the orchestra as we work to encourage the next generation to pursue music studies on an orchestral instrument.
